Rihanna at Belgrade Arena

Rihanna will definitely perform at crowded "Belgrade Arena" - the tickets have been almost sold out within eight days. The young singer has demanded from the organizers to arrange the sightseeing of the old Belgrade, Skadarska and Knez Mihailova Street and Kalemegdan. Her performance in Belgrade will be the greatest one on her European tour, which ends on the 19th of December in Cardiff (Wales).

The repertoire will consist of her greatest hits (she usually starts her concerts with "Pon de Replay" and finishes with her latest hit "Umbrella") and she will change her clothes four times!

The popular pop-singer Rihanna will arrive in Belgrade in her private jet on the day of the concert and during her stay in Serbia she has demanded a luxury Mercedes C-Class, a spacious dressing room with a large mirror to have at her disposal. Being obviously addicted to snacks and munchies, she has asked for several kinds of crisps, and believe it or not, 100 kilograms of pop-corn, sweet, salty... No wonder she has also demanded great amounts of juice and non-carbonated mineral water as well and tea with honey. Rihanna and her band have also ordered turkey, chicken, Swiss cheese, tomato, onions, garlic and lettuce. She has also added red apples, mango and a great package of corn flakes to the list.

Rihanna in BelgradeRihanna, who became famous with her hits "Umbrella", "SOS" and "Unfaithful",will perform in Belgrade within the world tour, promoting her new album "Good Girl Gone Bad" released in June 2007. The beauty from Barbados will have a concert at "Belgrade Arena" on the 24th of November.

Robin Rihanna Fenty was born in 1988 in Saint Michael, Barbados, as the oldest child to Ronald Fenty, her Barbadian father, and Monica Fenty, her Guyanese mother. After she won the local Beauty Pageant, Rihanna was noticed by the producer Evan Rogers, who was on vacation in Barbados. Rogers helped Rihanna record material in the U.S. which was sent to various recording companies. One copy of Rihanna's work was sent to Jay-Z who eventually signed her to Def Jam Records. Rihanna's debut album "Music of the Sun", sold in over 2 million copies, was released 30 August, 2005, from which "Pon de Replay" became a great hit, reaching the second positions in UK and US charts. In 2005 Rihanna toured as an opening act for American pop singer Gwen Stefani.

"2005 taught me the dedication and responsibility it takes to make this dream a reality. Waking up at 5:00 am to start rehearsals, the training, the schoolwork, interviews, video shoots, going all day; it always seemed glamorous but it is real work. My love for music and singing will never change but the rose colored glasses are no longer so rosy," Rihanna says.

In April 2006, less than eight months after the release of her first album, the beauty from Barbados released her second album "A Girl Like Me". The lead single, "SOS", used in her endorsement deal with Nike, "Unfaithful" and "We Ride" gained an immense popularity on world TV and radio stations.

"Many times over the past year, I didn't have anyone my age with me. When recording this album, I wanted it to seem like I was having a personal conversation with girls my age," said the eighteen-year-old singer. "People think, because we're young, we aren't complex, but that's not true. We deal with life and love and broken hearts in the same way a woman a few years older might. My goal on A Girl Like Me was to find songs that express the many things young women want to say, but might not know how."

At the beginning of this year Rihanna started recording her new album "Good Girl Gone Bad" produced by Timbaland, Ne-Yo and Stargate.

"Bad means cool, bad means funky, bad means having an attitude, bad means being edgy. This album is definitely a great representation of who I am now, and where I am in my career," she says. Seven weeks after the album was released, it had gone gold in the United States and Platinum on the United World Album Charts. Rihanna has conquered the world thanks to the song "Umbrella" with Jay Z, as well as with the singles "Shut Up and Drive" and "Don’t Stop the Music".
