The renowned British singer-composer Elton John will perform on the 3rd of June in 2010 at the Belgrade Arena and his concert will surely be one of events which will mark the following year. Some older lovers of his music still have nice memories of the phenomenal concert which Elton John held in April 1983 in "Pionir Hall".

During his 45-year-long career, Elton John has sold over 200 million records. He has won a Golden Globe Award, an Academy Award, five Grammy Awards and he has been a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1994. Last year he was ranked by "Billboard" magazine as the most successful male solo artist after "The Beatles" and Madonna.

Elton is very active in humanitarian campaigns and AIDS charities, but at the same time he is famous for lavish lifestyle. He was a drug and alcohol addict for many years, but according to his words, he has been “clean” since 1990. John is probably one of the greatest prodigal among musicians. For example, at the end of the 1990s, he spent 45 million euros in only two years!
