The British popular singer Pual Young will perform for the first time in Belgrade, at the Sava Center, on February 17.
Paul Young was born in 1956 in Luton and started his career in a local band “Kat Kool & The Kool Kats”. In the late 1970s, he became the lead singer of “Streetband” and then founded the band “Q-Tips”, but did not gain success. In July 1983, he released a debut solo album “No Parlez” and reached the top of British music chart, and songs such as “Wherever I Lay My Heat” (a cover of Marvin Gaye’s song), “Come Back and Stay” and “Love of the Common People” became great hits. Young became a world star after the record “The Secret of Association” with hits “Everytime You Go Away” and “I’m Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down”.
Until the end of 1980s, Young released another two albums marked by hits “Don’t Dream Is Over”, a cover of the band “Crowded House”, and “Senza una donna”, a duet with an Italian singer Zucchero. He continued series of hits in 1991 with a song “What Becomes of the Brokenhearted.”
