"Rammstein" in Belgrade
Published: January 25, 2010 | Share / Bookmark
The most popular German band "Rammstein" will perform at the Belgrade Arena on March 20 this year. This will be the first performance of "Rammstein" in Serbia and their concert in Belgrade as part of their world tour on which they are promoting their new album "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da" released last year.
The band which music is often classified as "Neue Deutsche Harte", a combination of industrial metal, clear vocals, synthesizers and percussions- is famous for the fantastic live performances with a lot of pyrotechnics. Therefore it is not surprising that even 200,000 fans from Europe booked the tickets even before the official announcement of the concert.
The band was founded in 1994 in Berlin and was named after the West German town of Ramstein-Miesenbach, the site of the flight show disaster on the 28th August in 1988 when 70 people died. After a huge success of the album "Sehnsucht" from 1997, with hits such as "Du hast" and "Engel", German rockers even won the American market. The band completed the successful period in their career in 2004 with the album "Reise, Reise", with a big hit "Amerika" and a wonderful ballad "Ohne dich". After the album "Rosenrot" from 2005, members of the band decided to have some rest and numerous rumors about disintegration of the band ensued. However, the band denied rumors last year when they started working on their new album which they define as the best one so far.
The band "Rammstein" consists of Till Lindemann, Richard Z. Kruspe, Paul H. Landers, Oliver Riedel, Christoph Schneider and Christian Lorenz. The four German guys have been considered as cult musicians, not only because of their fantastic music, but also because they have become incredibly popular in the world although they sing in German.
